Tri-Center to battle West Hancock in State Football Final Thursday, November 21st; Details for spectators here

Greetings Tri-Center Fans,

Tri-Center football will take on West Hancock on Thursday, November 21st at 1:00 in the State Football Class A Finals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.  

This week’s schedule:

  • Wednesday, November 20th
    • 1:30 Dismissal
  • Thursday, November 21st
    • NO SCHOOL
    • State Final Football game vs West Hancock 1:00 p.m.
    • JH Boys Basketball @ Audubon is moved to Tuesday, November 26th
    • HS Girls Basketball @ Glenwood canceled
  • Friday, November 22nd
    • Regular school day
    • HS Girls Basketball Achieve Scrimmage vs Sidney 6:00

Pep Bus:

  • Pete Sorenson of Neola Farm Bureau has once again sponsored a pep bus for Thursday’s game!
  • Permission forms are available in the school offices.  Permission form:  11/21/24 TRI-CENTER HIGH SCHOOL PARENT PERMISSION and INFORMATION FOR PEP BUS
  • Seats will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.  To sign up, students must have a signed permission slip.  Students may sign up in the MS office starting at 8:00 am on Tuesday.
  • We have room for 30 passengers in one bus.
  • Students riding the bus will be responsible for purchasing a ticket online or at the box office.
  • Transportation will be on a regular school bus.  
  • Leave time will be 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.  The bus will leave promptly at 7:30 am on Thursday.
    • There will be one stop each way.  
    • Bus will depart Cedar Falls immediately following the game.
    • Approximate return time is 7:30-8:00 p.m.

Tickets:

  • Tickets are available for purchase here:  https://unitix.evenue.net/list/IHSAA
  • Tickets can be purchased in-person at UNI-Dome ticket windows. This will allow fans to purchase tickets without the $5 online order fee applied.
  • Tickets for IHSAA’s football finals are $12.50 each: $10 ticket plus a $2.50 fee applied by UNI for parking.

Game Day Guidelines:

  • Re-Entry: No re-entry is allowed. If you leave the venue, you must purchase a new ticket to return.
  • Seating: Tri-Center fans will sit on the west side of the bleachers. The first row is reserved and unavailable for seating.
  • Prohibited Items:
    • No artificial noisemakers, signs, banners, or “fatheads” (large player photos).
    • Small “Homer Hankies” (approximately 11” x 16”) and pom-poms (without sticks) are allowed.
  • Dress Code: Shirts and shoes are required. Body paint is not a substitute for a shirt. Masks and helmets are not allowed.

UNI Clear Bag Policy: 

  • UNI has implemented a clear bag policy for all athletic events at the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center. Clear bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed a 12 x 6 x 12 inch size will be permitted, as well as one-gallon, resealable, clear plastic storage bags. 
  • Small bags that are not clear but do not exceed a size 4.5 x 6.5 inches will also be allowed. 
  • Prohibited bags include purses, backpacks, printed pattern plastic bags, tinted plastic bags, duffle bags, fanny packs, reusable grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, large totes and cases (for camera, binoculars, etc.). 
  • An exception may be made for some prohibited items for medical necessity after proper inspection at the gate. 

Other Important Notes:

  • Food/Beverage: No outside food or drinks are allowed.
  • Smoking: Smoking on the UNI campus is prohibited. Violators will receive citations without warnings.
